Halls Info

Parking

Please ensure there is sufficient parking at the venue – bearing in mind that KCP has a lot of equipment & ingredients to carry. It is very difficult to drop crates off on busy roads, including bus stops or leave the car double parked on double yellow lines when unloading.

Oven - please only book a hall with an Electric Fan or Electric Commerical Oven

  1. Go to the hall you have booked and check there is an oven in the kitchen and do not rely on the caretaker to tell you there is.
  2. The oven needs to be large enough to fit 3 trays of pizza / cakes in – a good size oven would be H59.5 x W59.5 x D55cm or larger!
  3. Don’t rely on the caretaker to say the ovens work – ask for instructions on how to use it.
  4. Check the oven is only electric fan or an electric commercial oven - we do not recommend any cooking parties with a GAS oven - the reasons are that only the top shelf cooks, where as the bottom stays raw, the cakes or pizza etc. do not cook at the same time, therefore half children go home with undercooked items or not cooked at all.
  5. Make sure the caretaker is around on the day of the party or take his/her mobile number in case there are any problems on the day

Microwave

Please check there is a microwave at the hall that works, if it doesn't work please bring your own.

Toilets

Check there is toilet paper, paper towels & liquid soap provided or you will need bring yourself - the children will need to wash their hands several times.

Our Policy when clearing up!

  1. You will need to check where to leave the rubbish at the end of the party - we do not take the rubbish home with us.
  2. We will make sure the kitchen has been wiped down after use including the oven/fridge etc and we will leave the kitchen how we have found it.
  3. It is advisable not to book a hall with carpet
  4. You will need to put away any tables that have been left.
  5. We do not put away tables. e) We do not clean the toilets.

Tables & Chairs

  1. Ensure there are enough tables to do the cooking on.
  2. Ensure there are enough chairs for the adults to sit on as well as when the children are eating their lunch/tea during the break.
